Hymn for the Homeless

This piece was written in July 2020 and was first performed during a benefit concert for the victims of August 4, 2020 Beirut explosion. Many people lost their homes or homes as they knew in matter of seconds when the explosion happened. I remember my move out of Beirut, after Beirut being my home for three and a half years. It was the hardest move of my life and it was then that I understood what it feels like to lose a home you love and not feeling like you have no control over it. This is dedicated to all those who have experienced a loss of a home.
