POLICY

My child is a new student. I paid an invoice when we enrolled but got another invoice a couple of weeks later. Why?

Please keep in mind that our monthly tuition installments are due about a month ahead. The first invoice you paid includes payment for the (prorated) annual enrollment fee and tuition for current and the next month. After that you will receive invoices that are due the 1st of each month, for more clear explanation, please refer to the tuition payment schedule you received at the interview.

My child has a schedule conflict in a few weeks. Can I schedule a make-up lesson?

Although our official policy does not offer make-up lessons unless a lesson was missed due to teacher absence, last two years we have instigated a new make-up credit policy.

In order to receive a credit for a lesson that will be missed, it must be cancelled at least 48hours before the lesson through your student portal (www.mymusicstaff.com). Make-up credits can be used to schedule a make-up lesson when a slot opens up on their teacher’s calendar (due to another student’s cancellation). It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to cancel and reschedule lessons and make-up credits can be used anytime during the entire school year.

My child is sick and can’t come to the lesson. Can I get a make-up credit?

There will be no make-up credit given to lessons cancelled within 48 hours. If your child is well enough to do a lesson through Skype (Skype ID: kristinaleemusic) or FaceTime (ID: kristinaleemusic@icloud.com), we highly recommend making an arrangement with the teacher to do that during your child’s lesson time. Skype or FaceTime lessons have very different dynamic than an in-person lesson giving the student the opportunity to be much more independent and responsible for the lesson content.
